NYC Scene: Touristing in Chinatown, NYC

NYC Scene: Touristing in Chinatown, NYC

One of the best things about living in New York City is the large amount of culturally diverse people and cuisine that are all mixed together on one tiny island (estimated population of 1.6 million residents). Given Manhattan’s limited land area of only about 23 miles (13.4 miles long – 2.3 miles wide; Wikipedia is a blackhole for me!), exploring dozens of differing neighborhoods and restaurants is such a simple thing to do. In fact, seeking out a particular paramount item (like the best pork buns ever) could practically be a sport for us Manhattanites. Thus, during mild weather weekends, I enjoy tossing on a stress-free outfit – like this pair of jeans (here), tank (here), close-toed shoes (here), and light jacket (similar, here) – and hitting the streets to take in sights like a tourist, as well as food finds that will increase my pro-player-like stats.

Below you can view highlights from my quest for tasty treats through Chinatown, as well as a glimpse more of my tourist day outfit. At the bottom are additional styling options and a comment box for those interested in finding out where the amazing pork buns and delicious green tea ice-cream came from.;)
