A little before the setting of our sun there is a brief moment in the busy day when golden rays fall gently upon ‘the city that never sleeps.’ This last layer of warming sunshine blankets the urban jungle in a golden fog, as if to remind us to stop and appreciate the things we find beautiful before the sky goes dark. During this magical hour, I like to get out and stretch my legs while strolling around the still neighborhoods before the evening rush begins and the mystique is gone. That said, I recently stepped out in a pair of my favorite spring Tibi culottes to soak up these golden rays and enjoy this special time of day.
I find these modern culottes to be great for the transitional weather, so I have them in both navy (here) and white (here). Since the weather has been a bit nicer, I paired the navy ones with a little white top from Club Monaco. I was looking for a waist-length, crisp white top that also had a little something sweet. So, as soon I noticed the bows on the sides of this one, I knew it was the one (here). For cooler days, I pair the culottes with a thin cashmere sweater (here) and the top with skinny jeans (current favorites, here).
As for footwear, I’ve been enjoying these Stuart Weitzman white patent leather block heels (here). Once you break them in, they make for a stylish city sandal good for strolls. Last but not least, are my new Celine sunnies (here). Chic eyewear is a legit spring essential for everyone everywhere! I got these while on this golden hour stroll downtown. If you haven’t stopped by Edon Manor, the most amazing boutique ever, you have to check it out (see their IG, here). Their stylish buyers pick up special pieces that you typically can’t find at the big stores like Saks, Barney’s and BG (they obviously carry sunglasses, but their thing is really shoes and handbags!). Thus, its become my favorite place for lusting after designer goods on my wish list.
