Some of us have made it to the bottom of the stack of invites to spring fêtes like baby showers, birthdays, graduations and weddings. Yet, some may still have a few afternoons of mommy games or nights of dancing to cover bands in their near future. For those who’s calendars are always marked with affairs to attend – maybe a Memorial Day picnic or summer soiree has been added to the agenda by now – I’m sharing a look at the star dress in my seasonal event wardrobe (here).

So, it should come as no surprise that my go-to celebration garb would consist of this satin poplin Tibi dress with off-the-shoulder, fanfold pleating detail. I’ve already worn this crowd pleaser to a baby shower for my bestie in Miami, at a wedding for a friend that my husband and I made while living in California, and during a birthday dinner with my New York lady crew. I’m also keeping it in mind for a few upcoming summer soirees — that’s the beauty of having different circles of friends… you can wear the same outfit and nobody knows it is a repeat!
