For bloggers, New York Fashion week is an excellent chance to network and catch up with online friends IRL since everyone is here to cover all the shows and events. To bring together the hundreds of digital creatives that descend upon New York City during NYFW, ShopStyle always hosts a Social House where this tribe can congregate. Again this year, I decided to swing by the stylish one day pop-up for some quality time with my fellow fashion enthusiasts.

The event was over the weekend, so I wore a casual look that was inspired by the ‘borrowed from the boys’ trend – but of course, I added my own spin by tying my hair up in a femme braid and slipping into a pair of colorful pumps. I chose these Sam Edelman pumps because they have a game-changing cushiony sole (thanks for the new design, Sam!). I knew I had a lot of walking to do since I was going to stop by the Rebecca Minkoff show outside her flagship store on Green Street in SoHo before heading to the #SSSocialhouse in Chelsea, and then later to an early dinner with friends in Meatpacking. Although I got a little hot from time to time, these loose-fitting garments came through for me during the almost 90-degree weather.
