How to Wear Spring’s ‘It’ Style of Pants

How to Wear Spring’s ‘It’ Style of Pants

If you’re a fashion fiend like me, then you’ve probably already seen or heard about the oddly named, popular style of pants that refer to a ruched waistline. They’re called paperbag pants.

This style has clinched countless headlines in fashion editorials and I too have covered these pants before.
I’m a big fan of their loose fit and flattering silhouette. Therefore, I’m super pumped about paperbag pants having another huge moment this spring.

balanced with a top that is fitted.” parallax=”off” direction=”left” revealfx=”off”]

Depending on if you’re already experiencing the joys of springtime weather or not  (we here in NYC have had a few glorious glimpses of it but between those, it still feels arctic outside), you could pair paperbag pants with either a snug sweater, thin turtleneck or a tight t-shirt.

I’ve chosen to top these cropped bottoms by Lovers + Friends with one of my all-time favorite fabrics. This fitted jersey top by Bailey 44 is extremely soft and the choker-style neckline with cut out detail on the chest adds an extra modern touch to the look.

Below, you can see more of how to wear paperbag pants, along with additional styling options that will help you recreate this contemporary look this spring. Stay tuned for more styling tips, such as how to mix spring patterns, and also some travel stories… is anyone else going to Coachella?

paper-bag pants are honestly such a nice twist on the old trousers. Working a 9-5 job I can assure you that simple black trousers get so annoying so fast. this unusual cut and style of pants adds so much elegant and a twist of something new to a classy look.
