Tees, skirts and sneakers have been giving me life during these steamy summer days in the city. Yeah, I could toss on a pair of denim shorts and a tank, but I’d rather reserve those for outings to the beach (somebody was a little excited about her toes in the sand recently, see here). When I’m roaming the city streets in search of inspiration or am embracing the humidity at that new new rooftop (The Crown at Hotel 50 Bowery in Chinatown), I want my mood to be lifted just as high as the towering skyscrapers around me.
For me, this means putting on a flowy, femme skirt (here) and rocking a fresh pair of kicks (see my round-up of the finest of this season’s sneaker fashion below). Another way that I’ve been channeling uplifting moods has been by wearing slogan tees (here). You may remember the feminist feels that I had around the Presidential election (here) or when I felt like Voguing to my own rules (here). Well, my latest slogan is in response to all of the New England boating adventures that I’ve been seeing on Insta and my serious FOMO. I mean, if you can’t be there physically, you sure as hell can try to get there mentally! Ya feel me?
Below, you can see more of this casually femme look, as well as additional styling options. Keep cool and get in touch with your summer state of mind, my friends.
