Winter has been giving us New Yorkers some serious seasonal blues, which is why I’ve been loving the random spring-like days that have been popping up every other week. Instead of letting Mother Nature’s twisted game of hide-and-seek with springtime toy with my emotions, I just went with the blues in a sartorial way.
During a recent mild-weathered weekend, this denim on denim look had me feeling super chill (along with my Jasmine tea from Maman). This pair of step-hem jeans (here) has become my weekend go-to (I love the gold zippers on the side). I’ve also been getting a ton of wears out of this jean jacket by French Connection (here). So, why not pair them together, right?
I tend to wear oversized sweaters at home a lot. Thus, this fitted striped sweater with floral patches (here) gave me the motivation I needed to part ways with my couch. Speaking of lazy, I wash my hair like once a week, so this baby blue baseball cap was more for function than fashion. But, it worked. lol
To avoid becoming bored with my errands, I stepped-up my footwear game with a pair of metallic pumps and tested out the new fishnet with denim trend. I’m not going to lie the fishnets felt super weird on my feet as I walked around in heels. But I consider the look to be pretty badass, so it was still a win!
Below, you can see more of this look, as well as additional styling pieces.
