Head to Toe Fall Hues

It’s finally time to say hello to the crisp air and crunchy leaves. While I must admit that the cooler months are not my favorite, there is something to be said about fall feels. When properly layered, the noticeably cooler temps can feel rejuvenating and make for an excellent excuse to go explore the last of the outdoor farmer markets and seasonal holiday pop-ups like the Holiday Shops in Bryant Park (where I enjoyed hot apple cider and holiday shopping after this photoshoot).

As one who likes to dress for the occasion, I recently put together a look that’s perfect for taking in all the splendor of autumn. I found this cinnamon-colored anorak with front tie ribbon at the waist during an impromptu stop at Macy’s. I knew the utility coat had potential but I had to figure out what exactly that was since I don’t own anything brown (legit not one piece, even boots?!).

Then, it came to me when I spotted this green sweater dress, I should continue with the brown and black mix using this plaid pattern and my suede black boots (these Stewart Weitzman boots are from a couple seasons). This unexpected mix of brown and black makes me so excited about celebrating fall now.

Since styling this look, I’ve found more ways to wear these two frienemie colors together. I’ve also been able to incorporate berets into pretty much all of my outfits too (sorry, not sorry!).
