Whether you danced for days at Coachella or had some serious FOMO from all the festival vibes, May and June could now seem kind of… meh. So to turn lemons into lemonade, I decided to pull together a list of upcoming entertainment worthy of adding to your calendar. Here are a few in NYC, MIA, LA & SF.
New York City:
- Smorgasburg – A food fair featuring some of the best purveyors in NYC; Brooklyn Bridge Park & Williamsburg; Every weekend April- November from 11am-6pm; www.smorgasburg.com
- Venue Clicquot Polo Classic – A stylish afternoon of sun, champagne and Polo returns to the scenic Liberty State Park in Jersey City for its eighth year. If you’re like us, then you’re already thinking about outfits! Take a look at these previous looks in this article by Racked. Sat. 5/30 from 11am-5pm; www.veuveclicquot.tumblr.com/vcpoloclassic
- Governer’s Ball – A 3-day, multistage music festival on Randall’s Island with a line-up that includes Bjork, Chromeo, Deadmau5, Drake, Echosmith, Florence + Machine, Lana Del Ray, and more; Fri. 6/5 to Sun. 6/7 from 12am-11pm; www.governorsballmusicfestival.com
Miami:
- Buck’s Beer Garden & Bonfire & The Raleigh Hotel – This iconic hotel (and simply stunning pool area) brings its backyard Oasis to life for locals and visitors with local craft brews, genuine food, and lawn games. It’s not a huge festival, but things slow down during a Miami Summer and we’re okay with that. Every First and Third Thursday of the month in May and June from 6pm – 10pm; 1775 Collins Ave; www.raleighhotel.com/dine_drink/bucksbeergarden
Los Angeles:
- Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga Concert – Sure it sounded odd at first, but did you watch The Grammy’s?! They’re on tour together now, so you can also see them at other locations. Hollywood Bowl, Sat. 5/30 @ 7:30pm; Tickets available at Ticketmaster.
San Francisco:
- Uncorked Wine Festival – the 10th annual wine, food and music event at the historic Ghirardelli Square offers 50+ wineries and breweries (um, yes). Sat. 5/9 from 1pm-6pm; Get tickets here.
- Bay to Breakers – A footrace that involves tens of thousand of people wearing wacky outfits running across the city to the Pacific Coast Ocean Beach (they say the debauchery is banned, but…). Sat. 5/17 starting at 8am; www.zapposbaytobreakers.com
Spring has sprung, so get out and enjoy!
