Every once in a while a designer will launch a fresh collection that makes you say, “Yes, this is so for me!” That’s how I feel about Alexander Wang’s laid-back aesthetics in his latest collection of T by Alexander Wang urban basics. This younger, chiller sibling of the designer’s mainline is known for its clean silhouettes, easy tailoring and “model-off-duty” vibes, which is on-point for my style these days.
I love how the soft material used in the spring/summer collection gently soothes my daily anxiety once draped over my body. My favorite pieces are the relaxed tees and tanks (wearing this tank; love this striped linen tank; want this classic tee in every color) and the cami jersey dress (black here; want in navy and also in this burnt orange color called pop). I’m also in love with these white trousers (here), which you are going to see plenty of on me this S/S. I’ve also had my eye on his red suede block heel (here) and this rose gold cuff (here) from the new jewelry line. These pieces (full collection, here) can be styled for the weekend or mixed into your work week wardrobe. I chose a casual Friday look and you can expect more easy-going looks to follow.
