Oh, those fashionable Italians. If you’ve been following along, then you already know how fond I am of the way they do femininity. The womenswear that comes out of Italy always looks sophisticated and feels empowering. Not to mention, the Italians know how to design a fit that is the most figure flattering.
I recently discovered the brand QUEGUAPA, which is based in Milan, Italy. Their dynamic, contemporary collections combine the quality of “Made in Italy” production with the latest in fashion design to create captivating, trend-led statement pieces. From front zipper panel denim to a wrap patent leather miniskirt or pair of cropped, high-waist trousers, they stay on top of the most coveted of-the-moment details.
This design house isn’t afraid of using bright colors or bold prints, which is another reason why I have an infatuation with them. Several garments from the QUEGUAPA fall/winter 2017-18 collection come in a radiant magenta and red, which you’ll continue to see a surprising amount of both well into the winter months. My most loved print from this collection features a dark floral design that has snakes intertwined with the blooms (very Gucci-like), however, in a close tie for first in my heart is the leopard motif (those voluminous sleeves have made me their prey).
Below, you can see a few of the above-mentioned garments, as well as how I styled them for different outings around New York City. If you’d like to see more contemporary designs by QUEGUAPA, you can find them on www.queguapamilano.com or Instagram @queguapa_official. I hope these fashion designs and my styling inspire you to live your most fashion-forward self this season. Ciao!
