Let’s face it. You’re not going to be cleaning your house on a Sunday in New York City when it’s warm out, so let’s hear it for Sunday Funday. Yippie!
Here are my top 3 rooftop picks for enjoying a day out and about in NYC:
- STK Meatpacking officially opened their rooftop for its second season! There is something about a water view with a live DJ blasting electronic music that makes me crave raw bar items paired with rose’. Before the temperature rises too high, grab a table with an umbrella and enjoy the afternoon. Sunday happenings 12pm – 9pm; 26 Little W 12th St; www.togrp.com/restaurant/stk-new-york-city-rooftop
- Le Bain at The Standard rooftop has amazing views of downtown Mahanattan and the Hudson River views. It’s a great place to enjoy a breeze and some booze after a stroll down the High Line. Sunday 2pm – 3am; 848 Washington Street between Little West 12th and 13th Street; www.standardhotels.com/high-line
- Jimmy at The James Hotel – Between the air-conditioned indoor lounge and poolside seating out on the terrace, this is the best rooftop for which to enjoy watching the sunset downtown. If you don’t believe me, check out their Instagram page: jimmyatthejames. Open Sundays after 3pm; 15 Thompson St, New York, NY 10013; www.jimmysoho.com
Happy hopping, because you can’t just stay at one place!
